LOCAL 1549 MEMBER BRENDA WALKER

HONORED AT CITY COUNCIL

On Thursday, June 19th, 2008, City Council Member Charles Barron

sponsored a "Juneteenth" celebration at the New York City Council.

At the celebration, Local 1549 member Brenda Walker (below, right),

Social Services Chapter, was honored for making a difference in

her community.

Local 1549 is very proud to have Sister Walker as a member and

congratulates her on this prestigious honor.
