DC37 and City Reach Tentative Agreement on Contract

bargaining committeeLocal 1549 and DC37 President Eddie Rodriguez and Local 1549 Executive Vice President Alma G. Roper issued the following joint statement regarding the tentative contract agreement:

“We are proud to have served on the DC37 Bargaining Committee, under the great leadership of DC37 Executive Director Lillian Roberts.   After long, hard hours of bargaining with the city’s negotiators, the union reached a tentative contract agreement that provides for a $1000 full-time employee ratification bonus, significant wage increases, unit bargaining funds, fair hiring and promotion initiatives, gain sharing opportunities,  and a number of other beneficial provisions.  This agreement was achieved without impacting on members’ healthcare costs.  We commend Mayor deBlasio and the city’s negotiators for their fairness and hard work in coming to this tentative agreement.  We are confident that this tentative agreement meets the needs of Local 1549 members and that they will vote to ratify.”
