NOTICE OF ELECTION RERUN
The purpose of this notice is to advise you NYC Clerical-Administrative Employees, Local 1549, AFSCME, AFL-CIO will conduct a rerun of the election for (1) SECRETARY-TREASURER and rerun of the runoff election for (2) SERGEANTS-AT-ARMS, and (3) OFFICERS-AT-LARGE in accordance with Appendix D (Election Code) of the AFSCME International Constitution.
The secret ballot election will be conducted by American Arbitration Association (AAA) by mail from January 30, 2025 February 24, 2025.
(1) SECRETARY-TREASURER
The Elections Committee recommended to the membership that a rerun of the office of Secretary-Treasurer be conducted due to a valid elections protest. The membership concurred. The candidates for one Secretary-Treasurer position are listed below.

The Elections Committee recommended to the membership that a rerun of the runoff election for Sergeants-at-Arms be conducted due to a ballot error. The membership concurred. The candidates for two Sergeant-at-Arms positions are listed below.

(3) OFFICERS-AT-LARGE:
The Elections Committee recommended to the membership that a rerun of the runoff election for Officers-at-Large be conducted due to a ballot error. The membership concurred. The candidates for three Officer-at-Large positions are listed below.

ELECTION
The secret ballot rerun election for Secretary-Treasurer, Sergeants-at-Arms, and Officers-at-Large will be conducted by mail from January 30, 2025 to 9:00 a.m. on February 24, 2025.
To comply with the provisions of the AFSCME International Constitution and federal law, all eligible Local 1549 members in good standing may participate in the election of Local Officers, Trustees and Delegates.
The secret ballot election for Secretary-Treasurer, Sergeants-at-Arms, and Officers-at-Large will be conducted by mail using AAA Election Services. Ballots with voting instructions will be mailed to the members last known home addresses on file with District Council 37 on or about January 30, 2025. Please note, returned ballots cannot be postmarked prior to January 30, 2025. All cast ballots must be received by 9:00 a.m. on February 24, 2025 to be counted.
Cast ballots will be tallied by AAA on February 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Results of the election will be posted on the Local 1549 website.
Protests related to the conduct of the election must be submitted to the Election Committee at electionscommittee7@gmail.com.
RUN-OFF ELECTIONS
In the event no candidate for Secretary-Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms or Officer-at-Large position receives a majority of the eligible votes cast, a run-off election shall be held. If necessary, the runoff election will be held from March 3, 2025 to 9:00 a.m. on March 24, 2025. Ballots for the runoff election will be mailed on or about March 3 and be counted by AAA on March 24 at 11:00 a.m.
Protests related to the conduct of runoff elections must be submitted to the Election Committee at electionscommittee7@gmail.com.
The Secretary-Treasurer, Sergeants-at-Arms and Officers-at-Large shall be installed and serve a term according to the Local 1549 Constitution. Only upon lifting the administratorship of the Local will the Secretary-Treasurer, Sergeants-at-Arms and Officers-at-Large elected begin to fulfill their roles under the local Constitution.
REQUESTS FOR DUPLICATE BALLOTS
Members who do not receive a ballot for the election by February 6, 2025 may contact AAA at 1- 800-529-5218 (during normal business hours). Members may also make requests by e-mailing requests to Sacha Ulerio at ulerios@adr.org to request a duplicate ballot be mailed. Requests for duplicate ballots for the election, if any, will not be accepted after 5:00 p.m. on February 18, 2025.
If a run-off election is necessary, members who do not receive a ballot by March 10, 2025, may contact AAA at 1-800-529-5218 (during normal business hours) to request a duplicate ballot be mailed. Members may also make requests by e-mailing requests to Sacha Ulerio at ulerios@adr.org to request a duplicate ballot be mailed. Requests for duplicate ballots for a runoff election, if any, will not be accepted after 5:00 p.m. on March 18, 2025.
All requests for duplicate ballots must include the following:
1. Member s first and last name.
2. Member s home mailing address (Street, Apt, City, State, Zip Code).
3. Members phone number
4. You must note you're from: Local 1549, DC 37 AFSCME.
